What is ProtocolEMR?

ProtocolEMR is an all-in-one practice management platform and EMR (electronic medical record) for functional medicine practitioners, health coaches and wellness clinics. It replaces separate tools for scheduling, intake forms, e-signature, lab spreadsheets, supplement lists, invoicing, client messaging and website booking with one system.

How does AI lab reading work?

Upload a lab PDF — including scanned PDFs — and the AI pulls out every result, identifies the report type (for example a GI-MAP or a comprehensive blood panel) and turns it into structured, chartable biomarker data you can highlight, comment on and track over time.

Can I set my own optimal biomarker ranges?

Yes. Each practitioner can set custom “optimal” ranges, which are often tighter than standard lab reference ranges, and results are shown against them.

What else does the AI assistant do?

It helps review medications and supplements for interactions and concerns, drafts and improves session notes, documents sessions automatically and generates content. Practitioners can personalize the AI prompts, and owners can set AI usage limits and buy credit packs.

Is there a client portal and mobile app?

Yes. Clients get a branded web portal plus an iOS and Android app where they book and manage sessions, buy packages, pay invoices, complete questionnaires, sign agreements, view lab results and reports, follow their protocol and message their practitioner.

How do payments work?

Payments run on Stripe. You can sell session packages and programs, run subscriptions and memberships, send custom invoices and payment links, track sessions used versus remaining, issue refunds and sell products through an online store.
